Are there any spots still available?
Up to date capacity and availability for each clinic is displayed on the clinic details page which can be accessed
when you click “Book Now” from the 2010 Calendar.
What time should I get there?
Registrations open at 9am, so any time between 9am and 9:30am is fine. We like to get started as close to 9:30am
as possible, so allow yourself about 10 minutes to get there, register and find your friends.
What time should I be collected?
The clinic finishes at approximately 3pm, with supervision finishing at 3:15pm. If your mum, dad or carer haven’t picked you up by then we will give them a call to remind them to come and collect you. If they know they are
going to be late then they need to call us on the emergency number to let us know.
Are participants signed out at the end of the day?
No. With such a large number of participants it is difficult to sign out at the end of the day. Parents and/or
guardians may contact us to make special arrangements if there are any concerns.
What if I have an allergy or illness that may affect my participation?
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let us know before the day so that we can alert our first aid staff. Please also bring with
you any medication you need and let us know when you get there!
Note, there will there be a first aid officer at each clinic.
How are the groups allocated? We allocate participants
into groups on the day, based on age and as much as possible we try to accommodate
preferences for participants to be in groups with their friends. On the day of
the clinic, participants should
indicate their preferences during the grouping
process. Please note however in order to get a balance of
numbers and participants in a similar age group, we can’t always accommodate these
preferences.
What age are the clinics designed for? The clinics
are designed for players aged 7-15 years and cater for all abilities. You will
receive expert tuition from
Liz and other leading players in attack and defence
skills, tactics, ball work, movement and play.
What should I wear?
Wear what you would normally wear to netball training – comfortable clothes you can run around in. Also be
sure to pack wet weather gear and something warm if the weather doesn’t look good.
Is the canteen open?
We cannot guarantee that the canteen will open. It depends upon each association.
Do I need to bring lunch?
Please bring your own morning tea and lunch as we do not provide refreshments for participants (please DO NOT bring any food containing peanuts).
What else do I need to bring?
Morning tea, lunch, water, sunscreen and a hat and a big smile!
Will Liz be there?
Absolutely! Liz wouldn’t miss the chance to meet everyone at the clinic!
What if I don’t know anyone else?
Your coach will make sure you mix in with your group on the day – and by the end of the day you will have a
heap of new friends to play with!
What’s in the show bags?
That’s a surprise, but we can tell you the show bags in 2010 will be supplied by
Milo.
Can I get autographs?
There will be time allocated at the end of the day for autographs and photo’s with your favourite netball players!
Can my mum, dad or carer stay and watch?
Your mum and dad are more than welcome to stay and watch and even take notes for ideas for their own sessions
if they are coaches.
Can mum, dad or carer drop me off and do their own thing for the day?
Yep! But tell them to beware – you may have transformed into a netball superstar by the time they get back!
Wet Weather?
The Liz Ellis Netball Clinics will go ahead regardless of the weather. Whilst every attempt will be made to keep participants dry in the case of rain, sometimes it isn’t possible. If the weather is looking inclement, please bring
wet weather gear and a change of clothes. In the case of torrential rain, clinics may be postponed or moved. In
this case the associations with access to indoor venues for the clinics will not be affected by wet weather (these
are Sutherland, Liverpool, Pennant Hills, Ku-ring-gai, Hawkesbury, Gosford and Northern Suburbs). For clinics with outside venues (these are Randwick and Baulkham Hills), we will email attendees by 8am the morning of the clinic to advise if your clinic has been postponed or cancelled due to wet weather. If you do not have access to email, you can call to
hear a recorded message on (02) 8014 8433.
Lost Property
If you realise that something did not make it home after one of the clinics, please check at the venue where the clinic was held as we will not remove lost property from the venue.
